:iconlevel-x-up: DOKIDOKI--
My app art always turns out bad for some reason (plus awkward generic poses ahah) :iconmingtearsplz: Actually I think it's because it's my first time drawing the character--
Plus I'm a little busy at this point in time, so had to do it really quickly :iconmingtearsplz:
EDIT: forgot to draw his weapon :iconlazycryplz: added quick drawing thing of it in the profile

Name
: Desmiel Carviago
Age: 22
Sex/Gender: Cis-male
Height: 179cm / 5' 10''
Race: Human
Title: -

Level: 1
Class: Rogue|Assassin
Familia: Kaguya
Job: Works as a kitchen boy at a restaurant (when he isn't out adventuring). Generally, he is either cleaning, or peeling potatoes (slowly gaining the trust of the chef so that he allows him to chop up the tomatoes too though).
Weapon: Large knife (Something like this)
Abilities:

/Knife skills/
He might not appear as so, but he can be a delicate and precise person. His strikes aren't particularly powerful, so his general strategy is to first tire down the enemy, maybe by leaving small injuries in vulnerable places, like tendons needed to move certain limbs. He makes sure to read up or learn from others about anything relating to monster weak spots and such. Of course, he is always working on his knife skills, including throwing (well...small knives at least; he wouldn't want to throw his large one;; ), since his are pretty elementary at the moment. Otherwise, if all else fails, he believes a good slap across the face should also do the trick.

/Hearing/
He has a good ear for picking up sounds. He is more likely to hear things further away, as well as being able to identify particular sounds from each other.

/Instrument-making/
Occasionally, he still makes musical instruments, although only small ones, like flutes. They're also not as good quality as what he did back at home, due to him not exactly having the right equipment.

Personality:

Desmiel is an easygoing extrovert who enjoys meeting and getting together with people, although he isn't necessarily a loud person (unless he gets very drunk). Sometimes his presumptions jump ahead of his rational thoughts, and so he may accidentally blurt things he doesn't mean to say, or he may come off as an air-head. Similarly, he is also impulsive by action.

Having the need to be able to look after himself, he has learned to be self-dependent, but sometimes he can be a bit of a sheep in the way he follows other people around, and does what they do. He is always eager to gain the approval of others, but this may lead him to being obsequious and clingy.

Not only is he emotional, but expressive too, in the physical kind of way. One can generally tell easily how he feels by the expression on his face, since he's not very good at controlling it. His other body language act as good indicators too. This is just as well, because he sometimes his thoughts move too quickly and he forgets to mention important things that he is thinking (and he also forgets people aren't (generally) mind readers).

Other than also being rather gullible, he can be a very dedicated person, and doesn't easily give up.

History:

The Carviago family owned a long-running business, the ownership of which was passed down through the generations, selling hand-crafted musical instruments. It was a small business, having a single shop, but there was not much thought of expanding it. Despite that, and despite the ups and downs in sales that naturally come with running a business, the family was able to make enough money out of it, and live relatively well-off.
Desmiel was born as the second of three sons in his family. His childhood was one of excitement and fun, often going out on 'adventures' around the neighbourhood with his older and younger brother. Although he would sometimes come home splattered in mud, or covered in scratches, he was an obedient child and almost made sure to get home before nightfall (or he just didn't want to miss out in dinner).
As the boys grew into their teenage years, his older brother, Marlos, played less and less with them, choosing more often to hang out with a group of boys his own age who roamed the area. Desmiel would stay behind to look after his younger brother while Marlos would run off with his gang.. to who knows where, and to do who knows what. As much as they got along well, Marlos had unfortunately gotten himself involved with some bad influences, and took up a number of bad habits, including gambling. When his parents realised, they attempted to turn him around, but to little avail.
By the time he turned into a young adult, he had accumulated a significant amount of debt, despite his parents paying off the smaller ones for him. When a debt collector turned up on their door step, his parents had had enough as this was bad on their income and on the family's reputation. A decision was reached that Marlos would go pay his own debts from then on by going to look for work somewhere. He also agreed to move out for a while. With that, the creditors were assured that they would finally be paid, albeit slowly, and Marlos packed up to go look for a job.
The next problem, however, was the question of who was going to run the business. Mr Carviago was getting to be an old man - but more importantly, he was beginning to get some sort of arthritis in his hands, which was hindering his ability to make instruments. Traditionally, it was the eldest son who took over the business, and so, naturally, the task lay on Desmiel, the second eldest, to take over the business, in place of his older brother who was occupied with his aforementioned problems. He had already learnt the skill of making different instruments, but now had to spend more time at the shop, maintaining the products and dealing with customers. He took up the role without complaint, and felt genuinely happy to serve his customers and produce instruments, but it was evident that it just wasn't passionate about any of it. He felt bad for thinking so, but he really wanted to go back to going out each day, doing odd jobs for people, like mending furniture, and listening to stories at the local bar from travellers who had come from far away and had seen many different sights. He had significantly little time to do any of those things, what with being occupied with crafting practice.. and just crafting in general (good quality instruments take a while to make!).
Desmiel's parents weren't oblivious either; he didn't say much about it, but they knew what he wanted to do was go out and learn more about the world, not stay in the quiet life of running the family business. They hated to see him all down about it, and didn't want to force him into something he didn't want to do, so they came to a compromise; he was to work hard for another year, so that his younger brother would be ready to help take over his role, and then they would let him go journey around to the different cities, finding work here and there, maybe settling somewhere if he found something to do that he could be passionate about. Desmiel was, of course, very grateful towards his parents for arranging this, and put 110% into looking after the business.
A little under a year later, who was to return but his older brother, Marlos (with all debts paid). He had matured much through his experiences, travelling around, and working for different people and different businesses. It had made him reflect on how he had spent his time before that, and, coming back now, he was finally ready to take on the family business as its original successor (he was a little rusty with instrument-making, but at least he could shed that off with a bit of practice). He brought home new ideas for making the business better, and encouraged Desmiel to go out and see the world too.
With the family and business in seemingly good hands, Desmiel promised to write often and bring pride to the family name, and set off on his journey for new perspectives and greater knowledge. He enjoyed meeting fellow travellers, getting to know the people in the community, learning about different cultures, and trying out local dishes! He heard lots of stories about adventurers and their expeditions into the dungeons, and realised this was something that really appealed to him. It also reminded him fondly of his time as a young child, running around with his brothers or friends and fighting imaginary monsters. With the aim of someday becoming a great, wise adventurer, he ended up in the City of Opportunity, applying to join a familia.

Chill music
Food and wine festivals
Warm nights ("Because then I get to sleep naked!")
Telling/listening to adventure stories, or just stories in general
Young children
Charades (*flops on the ground like a nutcase* "You don't get it? I'm a piece of sizzling bacon!")
Hot chocolate ("I think spilling one cup of hot chocolate is like spilling 50 cups of milk-")
Exploring!
Reading history books
Fixing things for people (..or at least trying to)

Dislikes:

The smell of smoking
Doing things by himself ("Well, it depends on what I'm doing, but it's usually more fun with more people.")
Sound of someone scratching paper (with fingernails) ("STOP- Don't make me eat that paper dammit--")
Listening to out of tune instruments
Bulky, heavy clothing
Confined, stuffy places
Light rain ("Being in heavy rain can be at least kind of exciting.. mini-showers are just boring though; I can do that kind of thing at home!")
Being scolded

Extra:

- Because of his background, he was able to have a go at playing various instruments. He didn't really learn to play any of them to a good level though. His favourite is the cute and portable ocarina! He owns one made by his mother which he often carries around.
- Keeps a dream journal.
- Likes to snuggle a pillow when he sleeps. Also, if he doesn't, he tends to roll around all over the place while he sleeps.
- Has a small scar (from accidentally chiseling himself) where the thumb joins with the palm (if that..makes sense ahah).
- Outfit underneath jacket
